JOB CONTEXT: HI Yemen is operating in whole of Yemen (both South and North) with main offices in Sana’a and Aden and field offices in Hudaydah and Hajja in the North, and Mokha in the South of the country. As of June 2026, the Programme is implementing projects in 5 main Governorates- Sana’a, Hajja and Hudaydah in the North and Aden, Taiz Governorates in the South of Yemen. The main projects are Health, protection, Prosthetic and Orthotic and humanitarian mine action. HI Yemen has funding from ECHO, SDC, BMZ, GAC and MOFA LUX. HI Yemen has been operating in Yemen since 2015, implementing humanitarian response across Yemen, providing assistance to people affected by Yemen conflicts and other disasters. YOUR MISSION: Reporting to the country director and in collaboration with HQ services, the logistics manager ensures the efficient management of logistics resources for the country under his or her responsibility. He or she is the point person for the country director and as such informs him or her of any problems that fall within his or her remit and suggests solutions. He or she participates actively in the phased reorganization of HI in the field. He or she is a key player in the rollout and implementation of HI's logistics standards, which consists in reworking the positioning of logistics at HI and affirming the principle of professional development. Overall oversight of Program Logistics Management • Manager as a role model: embodies HI's values on a daily basis. • Manager as coach for meaning: understands the strategy, makes it explicit, translates it into operational objectives for his or her team, leads the necessary changes. Gives meaning to each management action. Encourages inter and intra departmental exchanges of practice. Encourages innovation and risk-taking. • Operational manager: organises the operational management of his or her team, structures the work around identified processes, steers performance and facilitates the resolution of problems. • Manager 1st HR & Coach: contributes to the development of his or her staff, creating the conditions for their commitment, professionalism and attachment to HI. Ensures compliance with the code of conduct of institutional policies, the state of mind and the expected individual and collective behaviour. Defines the Logistics section of the StratOp and directs its action plan • Drives logistics strategy and operations through the active promotion of HI's institutional policy and directives and the optimisation of its resources; • STRATOP: contributes towards the drafting, revision and implementation of the Operational Strategy (StratOp) within his or her field of activity and geographical area and in line with objectives; • RISKS: produces and updates the risk map for his or her area of responsibility and proposes and implements corrective mitigation measures; • INCIDENTS: contributes to and follows up on incident reports for his or her area of responsibility; • INDICATORS: produces, compiles and analyses the data in the logistics dashboard for his or her geographical area; • REPRESENTATION: represents HI externally on logistical issues concerning his or her geographical area (e.g. forums, operational and strategic alliances); develops the local partnerships necessary for his or her fields of activity. Deploys HI's standards and contributes to its expertise and accountability within his or her remit • STANDARDS: ensures compliance with and application of HI standards for his or her entire professional field with regard to policy, processes and tools; • LOCAL ADAPTATION: adapts and contextualises these standards to meet local conditions and regulations; • INTERNAL CONTROL: supervises internal control in his or her fields of activity; • ACCOUNTABILITY: guarantees compliance with and the application of internal rules and the rules of institutional donors in his or her fields of activity Operational implementation of logistics Diagnostic phase – Contextual analysis Design phase – Resources planning Launch phase – Procurement planning Facilitates the Logistics profession's development and contributes towards the development of the logistics profession across the organization • Facilitates the development of the logistics profession in his or her geographical area and contributes towards the development of the logistics profession across the organization • Contributes towards the facilitation of the profession’s development at the organization’s global level (community of practice); • Helps to develop a pool of local talent (holds technical interviews with the candidates and formulates recommendations; identifies training requirements). • Facilitates the development of the logistics profession in his or her geographical area ; • Contributes towards the facilitation of the profession’s development at the organizations’ global level (community of practice) • Helps to develop a pool of local talent (holds technical interviews with the candidates and formulates recommendations; identifies training requirements). Emergency Preparedness and Response Responsibilities • Leads emergency preparedness actions in Logistics department and, in case of emergency, reorganizes the priorities of his/her team according to the humanitarian imperative, in order to ensure HI’s quick and efficient response. CHARACTERISTICS OF THE POSITION: The position is based in Sana’a / Aden Yemen. The expatriate is expected to travel between HI bases (Aden, Mokha, Hodaideh, Lahj and Hajjah). In the six locations, shared guesthouses well equipped with a safe room, most of the work is done at the office but there are some possibilities to go out for work purposes. Outside movements are possible for some extra-professional activities in Sanaa and Aden. All movements are done by car. HI has set up a curfew. The situation is relatively calm in Sana’a and Hajjah nowadays. However, the security is volatile in southern areas. CONDITIONS: At HI, the conditions offered are up to your commitment and adapted to the context of your mission: Join the team • 12 months International contract starting from mid November 2026 based in Aden/Sana’a • The international contract provides social cover adapted to your situation: • Unemployment insurance benefits for EU nationals; • Pension scheme; • Medical coverage with 50% of employee contribution; • Repatriation insurance paid by HI; • Salary from 2860€ gross/month upon experience; • Perdiem: 619€ net/month - paid in the field • Hardship: 500€ net/month paid with your salary • Paid leaves: 25 days per year; • R&R: 5 days every 8 weeks • Position: Unaccompanied • a child allowance of 100€ per month, per child (from the second child) paid in the field; • Housing: Collective taken in charge by HI; • If you are resident in the country: local package.

• With a high capacity for analysis and synthesis, you got a proven leadership experience and ability to effectively train and manage logistics team.
• You got excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
• You are able to manage your stress, and work under pressure.
• You are able to handle conflicts, you have strong interpersonal and intercultural skills, with good communication and negotiation skills in English (Arabic is a strong asset).
