Our Values • Proficiency • Initiative • Welfare • Abundance Job Purpose The Project Manager will lead the day-to-day management and delivery of the Economic Empowerment Project in Hama Governorate. The role is responsible for ensuring that all project activities are implemented on time, within the approved budget, in compliance with donor and Bonyan requirements, and to a high technical and accountability standard. The Project Manager will coordinate beneficiary targeting, stakeholder engagement, market validation, procurement, productive-asset delivery, coaching, MEAL follow-up, risk management and reporting. In line with the approved project design, the position also requires strong practical experience in facilitating business-management and entrepreneurship-related training. Alongside project-management duties, the Project Manager will support trainers/facilitators in delivering and adapting beneficiary coaching sessions, contribute to follow-up with supported businesses, and help ensure that the project's training resources are used efficiently without compromising technical quality. Duties and Responsibilities · Lead the full project cycle and ensure implementation is aligned with the approved concept note, budget, logframe, workplan, BoQs, donor requirements and Bonyan policies. · Prepare, maintain and regularly update the detailed project workplan, implementation schedule, procurement plan, stakeholder engagement plan, risk register, communication plan, cash-flow forecast and activity trackers. · Supervise and support project staff and field teams, conduct regular implementation reviews, and ensure clear delegation, accountability and timely resolution of operational challenges. · Coordinate closely with the donor and with relevant stakeholders. · Lead/oversee the detailed needs assessment, beneficiary outreach, verification and transparent selection process, ensuring that vulnerability, skills, livelihood viability, inclusion, protection considerations and avoidance of duplication are appropriately reflected. · Ensure beneficiaries are matched with suitable the provided livelihood assistances based on verified skills, business potential, operating conditions, access to inputs/markets and capacity to use and maintain the productive assets. · Prepare and follow up procurement requests and procurement documentation in line with the approved procurement plan; coordinate with Supply Chain/Logistics to ensure timely delivery, quality control, warranties, after-sales considerations and value for money. · Actively support trainers/facilitators in the preparation and delivery of business-management coaching sessions and, where appropriate, directly facilitate selected sessions based on demonstrated experience and technical competence. · Coordinate with MEAL to monitor output and outcome indicators, conduct post-distribution monitoring, track asset functionality and utilization, document beneficiary satisfaction, and use findings for corrective action. · Ensure accessible, safe and confidential feedback and complaint mechanisms are communicated to beneficiaries and that complaints are documented, referred and addressed in line with Bonyan accountability and safeguarding procedures. · Monitor project expenditure, commitments, burn rate and cash-flow needs in close coordination with Finance; identify variances early and propose compliant corrective measures that protect direct beneficiary support and value for money. · Identify, analyze and monitor programmatic, financial, procurement, safeguarding, market, security and implementation risks, and maintain practical mitigation and contingency measures. · Ensure complete, accurate and auditable project documentation, including beneficiary records, assessment and selection files, procurement records, distribution/handover documents, coaching attendance, monitoring evidence and stakeholder coordination records. · Prepare high-quality narrative and internal management reports, contribute to donor reporting, and provide timely updates, analysis and recommendations to the Program Manager. · Represent Bonyan professionally in project-related meetings, coordination forums, workshops and stakeholder engagements. · Ensure compliance with Bonyan's Code of Conduct, PSEA, safeguarding, anti-fraud, conflict-of-interest and data-protection requirements. Perform other relevant duties assigned by the line manager within the scope of the position. Academic Qualifications, Requirements, and Skills Academic Qualifications: · Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Management, Development Studies, Engineering, or another relevant field. A master's degree is an asset. · Recognized project-management certification is required, such as Project DPro/PMD Pro or PMP. Holding additional relevant project-management or agile certifications is an advantage. · Training-of-Trainers (ToT), entrepreneurship, business development, financial literacy, MSME development or similar facilitation certification is a strong asset.

• Demonstrated experience managing donor-funded projects, including work planning, budgeting, procurement coordination, compliance, risk management, reporting and cross-functional team management.
• Solid practical experience in livelihoods, MSME, entrepreneurship, productive-asset, business-development or economic-empowerment programming.
• Strong financial and budget-management skills and demonstrated commitment to value for money and efficient use of project resources.
• Good understanding of procurement processes, BoQs/technical specifications, supplier evaluation and quality assurance; direct technical expertise in every livelihood package is not required.
• Strong command of MS Office; experience with MS Project, Power BI or similar project-management/data tools is an asset.
• Fluency in Arabic is required. Good professional English, written and spoken, is required.
• The candidate must be based in Hama Governorate or able to work full-time from Hama throughout the project implementation period.
• Availability to travel regularly within Hama Governorate and, when required, to other Bonyan operational locations.
• Strong leadership, team-management and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams under a short implementation timeline.
• Excellent facilitation, presentation and adult-learning skills, with the ability to explain business concepts in a practical and beneficiary-friendly manner.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making and risk-management abilities.
• Excellent stakeholder-management, communication, negotiation and representation skills.
• High level of planning, organization, attention to detail and follow-up.
• Ability to balance program quality, donor compliance, operational efficiency and value for money.
• Strong commitment to accountability, inclusion, safeguarding, PSEA and ethical humanitarian practice.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, adapt to changing market and operational conditions, and meet tight deadlines.
