One-Day Workshop on the Discussion and Validation of the Kurdistan Region National Employment Policy (KRI-NEP) Erbil-Iraq 5th Oct 2026 TBC Background and Context: The International Labour Organization (ILO) Iraq/PROSPECTS programme has been supporting the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) in the development of a National Employment Policy for the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI-NEP), aimed at strengthening employment governance and guiding coordinated action on job creation, skills development, and labour market inclusion across the region. The draft KRI-NEP has been prepared in consultation with the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (MOLSA) — Kurdistan Region, workers' and employers' organizations, and other relevant stakeholders. The draft is currently under revision and is being brought forward for validation by the region's tripartite constituents, ahead of its finalization and translation. To this end, ILO Iraq/PROSPECTS is organizing a one-day workshop in Erbil to discuss and validate the draft KRI-NEP with government counterparts, trade unions, employers' representatives, and other relevant stakeholders. Objectives: The overall objective of the workshop is to discuss and validate the draft Kurdistan Region National Employment Policy (KRI-NEP) with tripartite constituents and other relevant stakeholders, ahead of its finalization, translation, and adoption. Specific objectives are to: • Present the draft KRI-NEP — its objectives, priorities, and implementation arrangements — to tripartite constituents and other relevant stakeholders. • Facilitate structured discussion and gather feedback from government counterparts, trade unions, employers' representatives, and other stakeholders on the draft policy. • Validate the draft KRI-NEP with the region's tripartite constituents ahead of its finalization and translation. • Build consensus and shared ownership of the policy to support its adoption and future implementation. • Strengthen collaboration between MOLSA — Kurdistan Region, workers' and employers' organizations, and ILO in advancing the region's employment policy agenda. Event date from/to: 5th October 2026 To be confirmed Location: Erbil-Iraq/ 5-star hotel (High level delegation) Number of Participants: 35 (and 5 ILO staff) To be confirmed Conditions that must be met in the hall: Here's a refined and professional version with the additional requirements incorporated: Conditions to be Met in the Venue/Hall: • Flipcharts with stands, whiteboards with paper, and markers. • Event signage, including the company logo, to guide participants and guests. • Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi access in the meeting room. • A minimum of five (5) universal power adapters. • Pens and notepads for all participants. • The event venue must be located within a 5-star hotel. • The meeting room must be free of structural columns or obstructions that could affect participants' visibility and engagement. • The meeting room must be situated above ground level and must not be located in a basement or underground area. • Given the participation of high-level representatives, including donor representatives, senior officials, and ministers, the venue must provide an appropriate level of security, accessibility, and professional standards. • In line with donor security requirements and protocols, the event must be hosted in a 5-star hotel (Divan, or Rotana only) that meets internationally recognized safety and security standards. The payment schedule will consist of a single payment, issued after the completion of the service and upon receipt of the invoice and required documents from the supplier, in line with ILO's satisfaction with the service. Means of payment: the payment will be paid via wire transfer to the designated bank account of the supplier. Important Notes: The supplier will be billed to ILO based on the actual number of participants and service.
