Here’s where you come in:

As Communications, Advocacy and External Engagement Manager, you will provide strategic communications leadership and support to World Vision CAR by developing and implementing communication strategies that will strengthen organizational trust, reputation, visibility, advocacy influence, and fundraising efforts.

You will ensure high-quality content production, stakeholder engagement, media relations, and advocacy support while promoting World Vision's impact on children and communities.

You will develop and implement integrated communications strategies, strengthen World Vision’s brand and reputation, produce high-quality multimedia and child-focused content, and ensure effective management of digital platforms and social media. You will lead emergency communication preparedness and response, manage media, donor, and high-profile visits, provide strategic communications advice to senior leadership, and lead advocacy communications related to World Vision’s sectors, conflict, displacement, and protection. You will also strengthen internal communications by building staff communications capacity, promoting engagement and organizational culture, establishing systems for content generation and information sharing, training organizational spokespersons, producing emergency reports, SitReps, alerts, and declarations, and ensuring compliance with World Vision communications policies and branding standards.

You will contribute to external engagement and influence strategies, support national advocacy initiatives, engage local and international media, and develop advocacy messaging for humanitarian and development issues. You will lead the development and implementation of an integrated advocacy agenda across humanitarian, development, and grant-funded programming, ensuring coordinated advocacy efforts and alignment of organizational positions, messaging, and external engagement with World Vision’s humanitarian advocacy priorities, including protection, humanitarian access, accountability to affected populations (AAP), and localization. You will ensure advocacy efforts are grounded in evidence and child and community participation, linking humanitarian response and grants programming into one coherent advocacy narrative.

You will develop and implement an external engagement strategy and build strong relationships with donors, UN agencies, INGOs, government authorities, and local partners. You will represent World Vision in coordination forums and ensure that proposals and concept notes reflect advocacy and communication priorities. You will also develop and implement campaign strategies aligned with the ENOUGH Campaign objectives, coordinate advocacy initiatives targeting policymakers and key institutions, engage children, youth, faith leaders, communities, and civil society organizations, and facilitate awareness campaigns on child hunger, nutrition, and food security. You will build partnerships to strengthen collective action against child hunger and malnutrition, monitor campaign progress, document achievements, support media and communication activities, and promote child participation so that children’s voices are reflected in advocacy actions.

You will monitor and manage reputational risks, support crisis communication and incident response, protect World Vision’s brand and stakeholder trust, and coordinate with regional teams on sensitive issues. You will also supervise communications and advocacy staff, provide performance management and coaching, identify capacity gaps and implement development plans, and support the recruitment and onboarding of new team members.
