About this opportunity

Construction Manager - Caribbean

Location: The successful candidate must be a citizen of a CARICOM Member State or the Dominican Republic and will be based within the region. Frequent travel across the Caribbean region is required for this role.

Term: Fixed Term till 31st March 2028 with possibility of renewal subject to performance and donor funding.

The starting salary for this position is $5,500 USD monthly inclusive of allowances.

About the role:

The Construction Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day planning, management and technical oversight of assigned physical security and stockpile management programme activities relating to the rehabilitation and construction of storage areas across the Caribbean, in accordance with MAG global policies and WAM Construction SOPs.

About MAG:

We remove mines and unexploded ordnance to help communities recover from recent and long-past conflicts, and work to reduce and prevent armed conflict by supporting government and communities to safely manage weapons and ammunition. We have helped more than 20 million people in 70 countries rebuild their lives and livelihoods after war, conflict and armed violence.

About the Caribbean programme:

In the Caribbean region, MAG together with CARICOM IMPACS is building on various assessments undertaken in the region to provide targeted assistance to states with regard to weapons and ammunition management, policy and advocacy support and engagement with a wide range of other partners. This innovative programme focuses on safety, security and sustainability, ultimately helping to create the conditions for peace and sustainable development.

• Salary: Annual incremental increases
