About this opportunity
1. Background
Terre des hommes (Tdh) is Switzerland's largest child rights organisation, active in over 30 countries. Its Migration and Displacement sector has developed two evidence-based Models of Action (MoA) to guide Tdh staff and partners working with migrant, displaced and at-risk children and youth:
MoA 1 — Employability and access to employment for young migrants and refugees: Employability and access to employment through (1) Skills and capabilities development, (2) Labour market linkage, and (3) Policy and system strengthening.
MoA 2 — Education for children and youth on the move: Structured around the 4As (Availability, Accessibility, Acceptability, Adaptability), leading to empowerment and socio-economic (re)integration.
Tdh wishes to make these frameworks accessible to its staff and implementing partners through the development of related self-paced e-learning modules. Tdh already runs a Migration and Displacement e-learning course for staff: the two new modules will be produced in the same format and uploaded to the existing platform by Tdh. This assignment covers content development only as platform integration is handled internally.
2. Objective and scope of work
The consultant will develop content for two standalone e-learning modules, one for each MoA. The modules are intended for individual, self-paced learners. For each module, the consultant will submit a complete Word script that Tdh's technical team can upload to the existing CYM e-learning platform. The assignment does not include visual design, coding, platform configuration or upload work
2.1 Consultant deliverables
For each of the two modules, the consultant will deliver the following:
• Full content script (Word document): A complete, structured module script covering all learning content, activities and resources. The script must follow the format of the existing Tdh Migration and Development module series and be clear enough for Tdh's technical team to translate it into the online platform. It must include section text, activity instructions, external resource links with precise timecodes where relevant, correct answers for exercises, definitions and call-out boxes. It must be sufficiently clear and structured for the technical team to identify content blocks, activity types, correct answers, feedback text and any resources to be embedded or linked.
• Glossary: A list of 10-15 key terms with concise, learner-friendly definitions tailored to the thematic focus of the module.
• Learner summary sheet: A one-page printable reference sheet summarising the module's key concepts and takeaways, suitable for download alongside the module.
• Review and revision: The consultant will take part in an iterative review process, incorporate consolidated feedback from Tdh and submit revised versions until the module content is validated within the agreed workplan and timeline.
2.2 Module format, components and minimum requirements
Existing Migration and Development module scripts will be shared with the selected consultant as a formatting and style reference at the start of the assignment. Each module should follow the expected approach and minimum requirements below.

Minimum requirement per module : Consistent second-person learner voice throughout the script.

For any video used, provide precise start and end timecodes.Minimum requirement per module : Relevant external resources selected according to the learning objectives and availability of suitable materials. Each resource must include guided comprehension questions and correct answers where appropriate.
• Interactive activities.Expected approach : Embed activities throughout the script and describe them clearly for platform build. Suitable formats include flip cards, matching or association exercises, multiple-choice questions, fill-in-the-blank questions and open reflection prompts. Minimum requirement per module : At least 2 interactive activities, plus at least 1 open reflection prompt. Correct answers and short feedback text must be provided where relevant.
• Case studies.Expected approach : Use real-world or fictionalised case studies grounded in Tdh field contexts, including Asia, Africa and Europe/MENA where relevant. Cases should include named fictional or anonymised characters and guided analysis questions. Minimum requirement per module : At least 2 case studies, each with analysis questions and model answers.
