About the Role

The role will support the implementation of Tuvalu’s Te Paagatasi Gender Equity Policy, the Tuvalu Gender Equality Country Plan 2023-2027, and other national and development partner commitments relating to gender equality, disability inclusion, and social inclusion.

Working closely with government ministries, civil society organisations, and development partners, the Adviser will strengthen GESI mainstreaming across policies, programs, systems, and services. Key responsibilities include providing training, mentoring, and technical support; developing practical tools and resources; supporting community awareness and behaviour change initiatives; strengthening monitoring and reporting mechanisms; and promoting inclusive approaches that reach women, people with disabilities, vulnerable groups, and outer island communities. The Adviser will also work to enhance collaboration between stakeholders, support service delivery and referral systems for survivors of gender-based violence and help build sustainable local capacity to advance gender equality and social inclusion outcomes across Tuvalu.
