About this opportunity

The Stop Killer Robots campaign is excited to announce that we are seeking a Head of Communications and Resource Mobilisation to join our team in Geneva. The Head of Communications and Resource Mobilisation is responsible for promoting Stop Killer Robots’ work and goals, including advancing a legally binding instrument on autonomous weapons and new regulations governing the use of AI in the use of force. The role leads communications through Stop Killer Robots’ digital channels and identifies and engages with relevant media and other communications opportunities.

The role also leads efforts to identify fundraising opportunities and supports the preparation of relevant donor proposals, reports, and other fund development activities.

You will work closely with coalition members, partners, media contacts, and donors to strengthen our visibility, influence, and financial sustainability.

We’re looking for someone with a strong communications background who is creative, innovative, and able to tailor messages for different audiences to broaden our reach and increase our impact. You will be able to work strategically and operationally to lead our communications and campaigning work, identify key stakeholders and target audiences, and develop compelling narratives and content that bring our work to life.

You are a strong storyteller who can translate complex policy and advocacy issues into engaging stories about killer robots and the use of AI in the military/security domains. You are highly organised, able to juggle multiple priorities, and comfortable working collaboratively to turn our policy and advocacy messages into accessible, compelling communications for wider audiences, including funders and supporters.
