About this opportunity
CBM Christoffel-Blindenmission Christian Blind Mission e.V. (CBM) is inviting qualified Architectural and Engineering Consultancy Firms to provide consultancy services for the detailed design of the proposed Eye Unit at Mama Lucy Eye Hospital, Nairobi. This assignment is expected to be undertaken over an approximately 8-week period and will result in a complete tender-ready package, detailed cost estimates, and procurement support documentation
About the Project:
The proposed project involves the extension and refurbishment of Mama Lucy Eye Hospital to establish a modern eye care facility providing comprehensive ophthalmology services with a strong emphasis on paediatric eye care. The facility will be designed to create a child-friendly, inclusive, and accessible environment while supporting broader eye care services and future expansion requirements. The current concept design comprises approximately 1,000 square metres, including approximately 500 square metres of refurbishment works to the existing facility and a new adjoining building
The purpose of this consultancy is to transform the existing technical feasibility study and concept designs into a coordinated, technically complete, and tender-ready design package. The assignment includes detailed architectural and engineering design development, preparation of Bills of Quantities and cost estimates, tender documentation, and support for statutory approvals.

• Company profile and brief description of the consultancy firm.
• Detailed CVs of proposed key personnel.
• Technical proposal demonstrating understanding of the assignment, methodology, and work plan.
• Portfolio of similar healthcare and hospital design projects, including project size, client, location, and year completed.
• Financial proposal with an itemized budget for professional services.
• Proposed implementation schedule and availability of the team
• Company registration documents, legal status, and tax compliance certificates.
