About this opportunity
Job Purpose Craft compelling, emotionally resonant videos from raw field footage, interviews, event recordings, and archival material. The ideal candidate can turn complex humanitarian stories into clear, moving narratives optimized for fundraising campaigns, social media, and donor engagement, while handling sensitive content with care and cultural awareness. Key Responsibilities • Edit raw footage (field documentation, interviews, event coverage, b-roll) into polished videos for fundraising campaigns, social media, and donor communications • Produce content in multiple formats and lengths — short-form social clips (Reels, TikTok, Stories), longer donor/impact videos, and event highlight reels • Add subtitles/captions (English and Arabic as needed), motion graphics, music, and sound design to enhance storytelling • Collaborate with the Media and Digital Marketing teams to align videos with campaign messaging, branding, and calls to action • Translate raw, sometimes emotionally difficult footage into content that is respectful, dignified, and effective for fundraising purposes • Color grade and ensure consistent visual quality and branding across all deliverables • Organize and manage video assets, project files, and version control • Deliver final files in formats optimized for various platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, email campaigns, websites) • Meet deadlines tied to campaign launches and time-sensitive fundraising events • Respect and apply all PSEA Principles and show a high commitment to reporting any of them. Note: the above-mentioned key responsibilities/accountabilities are illustrative ones. Other future responsibility/accountability may be assigned to the job depending on the department’s organizational chart. Qualifications • Proven portfolio of video editing work, ideally including nonprofit, documentary, or humanitarian storytelling • Proficiency in industry-standard editing software and programs (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Photoshop, CapCut, or similar) • Strong narrative instincts; able to shape raw footage into a story that drives emotional connection and donor action • Experience with motion graphics, captions/subtitles, and social-media-optimized formats • Sensitivity to cultural context and ethical storytelling when editing footage involving vulnerable populations (children, displaced families, etc.) • Advanced level in English is a plus (for captioning/translation coordination) • Strong communication skills and ability to incorporate feedback efficiently • Reliable and able to turn around content quickly around campaign deadlines • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
